A typical 4-day session. The number of hours is approximate.
Day One
10:00 am – Get supplies ready for the Orientation Hike (nametags, string, markers, etc.). 10:30 am – Buses arrive and students go to the amphitheater to break into Trail Groups.
11:00 – 12:00 – Counselor Orientation Hike: take the high school counselors around the Camp Ramah area, discuss rules, show them the main areas of camp, and make their nametags.
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch. Supervise students having lunch on the lower field.
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students moving into their cabins; be available to help with questions and problems.
4:30 – 5:30 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students; be available for questions and problems; go to each cabin to discuss specific rules and night-time procedures.
5:30 – 6:30 pm – Dinner. Supervise students in the dining hall.
6:30 – 7:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas as they get ready for the Evening Program.
8:00 – 9:00 pm – Campfire program at the amphitheater. Participate in the campfire and help supervise students.
9:00 – 10:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas; gather students taking evening medications and bring them to the Nurse Station; at 9:30, begin "Lights Out"; keep "Quiet Time" until 10 pm.
Total: 8.5 hours
Day Two
7:00 – 8:00 am – Wake up cabins. Remind students who take morning medications to go to the Nurse Station; help supervise and answer questions.
8:00 – 9:00 am – Breakfast. Supervise students in the dining hall.
11:30 am – 12:00 – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
2:00 – 2:30 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
5:00 – 5:30 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
5:30 – 6:30 pm – Dinner. Supervise students in the dining hall.
6:30 – 7:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students as they get ready for the Evening Program.
9:00 – 10:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students; gather evening medications and bring students to the Nurse Station; begin "Lights Out" at 9:30 and keep "Quiet Time" until 10 pm.

Day Three
7:00 – 8:00 am – Wake up cabins. Remind students about morning medications; help supervise and answer questions.
8:00 – 9:00 am – Breakfast. Supervise students in the dining hall.
11:30 am – 12:00 – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch.
2:00 – 2:30 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
5:00 – 5:30 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students in the cabin areas and field.
5:30 – 6:30 pm – Dinner. Supervise students in the dining hall.
6:30 – 7:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students as they get ready for the Evening Program.
7:00 – 9:00 pm – Campfire. At the amphitheater, staff do skits, songs, and stories; students perform their cabin skits; staff participate and help manage the group.
9:00 – 10:00 pm – Cabin Time. Supervise students; evening medications to the Nurse Station; "Lights Out" at 9:30; "Quiet Time" until 10 pm.
Total: 9 hours
Day Four
7:00 – 8:00 am – Wake up cabins. Remind students about morning medications; help supervise and answer questions.
8:00 – 9:00 am – Breakfast. Supervise students in the dining hall.
9:00 – 10:00 am – Assist with Lost & Found and medication collection.
10:30 – 11:00 am – Have students line up, count them, and assist in loading onto the buses.
11:00 – 11:30 am – Help other staff clean up the camp area, look for lost & found, and put away supplies.
